Honored that my novel Elrod was a finalist in the Best Mystery category for the 2022 Claymore Award, sponsored by Killer Nashville. Set against the backdrop of the 1980 Farm Crisis which devastated farmers and ranchers across the Midwest, Elrod Pressley lives in the Flint Hills of Kansas with his mother and works a sprawling cattle ranch with his grandfather. His life is upended when his mother is brutally murdered. His twisting destiny leads him to Los Angeles and back as he struggles to establish his identity and a place called home.
