Among many things, I’m a writer. For more than 30 years I wrote press releases, position papers, speeches, business articles, op-ed pieces, newsletters, magazine articles, brochures, annual reports, strategic plans, film scripts and commercials.

And I still write.

Although now, my passion is directed toward fiction and poetry, to noir, to mysteries and thrillers, to literary pieces, and the occasional comedy.

This is where I write.

NEWS to share…

My new book THE BIG WEIRD: HAIKUS IN TIMES OF PANDEMIC AND CHAOS debuted on Amazon on Dec. 22, 2020. If I may toot my horn a little louder, I’m also proud to say it debuted as the “#1 new release in contemporary poetry.” The book is a collection of short, hot, haiku poetry about my observations of the pandemic and the chaos that ensued around the country in 2020. Hard copy editions will be released soon and available where ever all fine books are sold.

The Big Weird: Haikus in Times of Pandemic and Chaos by [ZJ Czupor]

In a recent issue of WRITE2THRILL, I had the opportunity to interview New York Times bestselling author Lisa Gardner and award-winning author Daniel Palmer and how they, and others, are volunteering their time to help debut thriller authors. Guess what? They’re nice people, too!

STOP THE WORLD: SNAPSHOTS FROM A PANDEMIC released August 4, 2020. Forty authors, essayists and poets from around the world, including my noir haiku poems, are recorded here: our experiences, emotions, fears, and gratitude for living through 2020.

Always be a poet, even in prose.
